The Pink Bin Campaign – Turning Clutter into Care

What is the Pink Bin Campaign?

The Pink Bin Campaign is a simple, meaningful way for schools, churches, and businesses to support St Bernard’s through donations of gently used items. We place bright pink donation bins in high-traffic areas of your premises—places where students, staff, congregants, or customers are most likely to see and use them. These bins become collection points for items that can be sold in our Thrift Shop—anything from household bric-a-brac, kitchenware, toys, and tools, to clothing and shoes for all ages.

By participating, your organisation helps raise vital funds for home-based palliative care, while also promoting a culture of generosity, recycling, and community impact.

How to Get Involved

1. Host a Pink Bin
Allow us to place a clearly labelled 20L pink bin at a visible, secure location within your premises. Whether it’s in a reception area, staff room, foyer, or hallway – it just needs to be somewhere people will pass by and contribute to.

2. Promote the Campaign
Help us spread the word! We’ll supply you with two eye-catching posters to display, and we kindly ask you to share reminders via internal newsletters, WhatsApp groups, or social media—encouraging ongoing support.

3. Notify Us for Collection
When the bin is nearly full, simply contact our shop team. We’ll arrange a convenient pickup and replace your bin if you’d like to keep the campaign going.

4. See Your Impact
You’ll receive feedback on the estimated value of the goods collected from your bin—so you can share with your community the difference they’ve made.

Why Join the Pink Bin Campaign?
