LET US KNOW IF YOU WOULD LIKE A 5 LITRE BOTTLE FOR THE NEXT COPPER DRIVE
This fundraising campaign runs throughout the second school term, where local schools within East London are requested to fill 5L water bottles with coins. This is a great fundraising initiative where pupils participate in raising much needed funds for St Bernard’s Hospice while they learn a little about what we do.
It is especially important to teach the younger generation that they are part of a larger community and that they are responsible for more than just themselves.
By giving to reputable Non-Profit Organizations we teach our children to grow up with a healthy sense of compassion and a strong charitable spirit. Children are after all our future leaders!
Contact our Fundraising Department if you would like your school to participate in the St Bernard’s Copper Drive Annual Fundraiser.
We have very clearly marked and visible money collection tins in various shops all over town – please look out for them and kindly consider popping your change into these tins.

A Hospice Hero is when an individual or business contributes towards our Home Based Palliative Care for Cancer patients on a monthly basis. The amount is determined by the individual or company and can range from as little as R10.00 to as much as you can afford.
Hospice administers everything, just download the form and submit, or contact us to become a Hospice Hero.

POWER OF 10: If 1000 people each gave R10 monthly, can you imagine how many people we would be able to assist with the R10 000 per month?
WHY LEAVE A BEQUEST TO CHARITY?
Charitable bequests have been included in Wills for centuries. They are a way of keeping your ideals, your compassion and your vision alive for years, even generations to come.
Because you chose to spend conservatively now, a bequest offers you the opportunity to make a worthwhile gift to perpetuate your name or that of a loved one.
Particularly if your children are grown up and are self-sufficient, you may find tremendous satisfaction in using your Will to help make the world a better place and to touch the lives of people in need.
HOW WOULD WE USE YOUR BEQUEST?
When you leave a legacy to hospice care, you provide vital funds that will ease the final days and weeks of those who are suffering with life threatening or life limiting diseases and not have much longer to live.
Your gift will provide practical help, relief from pain, emotional support and spiritual comfort at a time when it is needed most.
