St Bernard’s Hospice gives back : Liyakhanya Day Care Centre

Situated in Ducats North, East London, Eastern Cape, Liyakhanya Day Care Centre is a safe haven for 43 children from the surrounding area.  In proud association with GIBB East London, St Bernard’s Hospice assisted in an effort to improve the lives of these children this Madiba Day.

St Bernard’s Hospice & Gibb staff delivered mattresses, blankets, beanies, educational toys, snack packs and lunch to the delight of the children at the crèche. St Bernard’s Hospice will continue working with Liyakhanya Day Care Centre in an effort to assist when and where possible. (Liyakhanya Day Care Centre was started by two St Bernard’s Hospice Carers)
